Reclining regally between lifestyle articles and a delicious-looking recipe for clementine and rosemary quick bread, venerable US Sunday magazine Parade this week boasts an interview with Scarlett Johansson in which she lets slip some fascinating titbits on Black Widow's involvement in Avengers: The Age Of Ultron.

The actress revealed that her wedding plans remain on hold as the Marvel-verse demands her full attention. "I’m busy planning Avengers 2 right now! That’s my main focus." So what can we expect for Joss Whedon's second Avengers script? She understandably shied away from revealing major plot details but confirmed that that trademark Whedon wit will be there in spades. "I think the script is dark and dry," she explained. "It’s got this amazing one-liner, glass-cutting sense of humor. Obviously the script is very cerebral."

"It doesn’t lose that exciting comic-book aspect that people enjoyed in the first film, but it’s smart and it feels like the next instalment. It doesn’t feel like a rehashing, it feels like these characters are moving forward, plot lines are moving forward. It’s deep and I think that’s why people really respond to the Marvel universe, because the films are fun and exciting and have all that flashy stuff, but there’s a gravity to them. People can expect that gravity this time around.”

It's Johansson-uary in US cinemas with **Her **featuring the actress as the soulful, Siri-like artificial intelligence Samantha beguiling Joaquin Phoenix - that hits these shores on February 14 - and Jonathan Glazer's **Under The Skin **will soon see her play an extra-terrestrial with a taste for hitchhikers. That arrives here on March 14.

Avengers: The Age Of Ultron will be with us on May 1, 2015. Head here for more details.
