The team behind one of this year's surprise hits, Searching, is putting the pieces together for their next movie. Sarah Paulson has now agreed to star in a new thriller called Run.
Aneesh Chaganty is on to once again direct, and wrote the script with collaborator Sev Ohanian, while Natalie Qasabian will produce the tale of a home-schooled teenager who lives in near-total isolation with her mother (Paulson) and begins to suspect the woman is keeping a dark secret from her... The trio will start the cameras rolling on Halloween, which feels appropriate even if it also means they'll have to shut down production to go Trick-Or-Treating. It'll be a more conventional movie this time, though we'd be surprised if the people who made a thriller set entirely on computer screens doesn't find a way to tweak the format again.
Paulson's no stranger to darker material, especially given her regular status on the American Horror Story shows. She'll also crop up in Glass (which has a new trailer online) and is due on 18 January, and Bird Box, which is out via Netflix on 21 December.
