Sandler’s Just Desserts

Details of the latest Adam Sandler movie, a mysterious undertaking currently known as the X4 Project, have surfaced. Director Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, Magnolia) might seem like an odd choice to direct the unashamedly juvenile star of The Wedding Singer and Little Nicky, but this project is an odd one all round. Sandler will star as the boss of an ailing phone-sex company who finds himself hunted by a gang of thugs. He accidentally meets a woman, played by Emily Watson, who his sister is trying to set him up with. Later, after collecting enough airmile coupons from a pudding company promotion to fly around the world, Sandler goes to Hawaii to try and track her down. Told you it was a strange one. The $25 million project recently wrapped its Hawaiian scenes, which were shot on location in Oahu. As well as Sandler and Watson, it also stars Paul Thomas Anderson favourites Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Luis Guzm
