Well known his his social media news splurges, Vin Diesel made an extra effort recently to share some casting news on the new adventures of Xander Cage, or, as the cinematic world knows it, the latest xXx sequel that is suddenly in existence. If you were hoping that Samuel L. Jackson would be reprising his role as NSA agent Augustus Gibbons, then prepare to smile as Diesel has revealed via Facebook that Jackson will indeed return.
And that’s not all – Diesel used Instagram to reveal that current Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight champ Conor McGregor will have a role in the film. The actor also showed off some concept art for what is currently called xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage.
The new film has Michael Ferris and John Brancato writing the script for director D.J. Caruso and producer Neal H. Moritz. There’s no set release date for this one just yet, but it appears the wheels are well and truly in motion for extreme sports nut-turned-government asset Xander Cage to head back to our screens before too long.
