**Spoiler Alert! **The link in this story mentions something else Sam Jackson has worked on, so tread lightly. Still with us? Okay… With Joss Whedon still beavering away on the script, moving ever closer to starting pre-production on The Avengers: Age Of Ultron, word on casting has been sketchy beyond the people we know are returning. Still Elizabeth Olsen has been closely linked to the role of Scarlet Witch in the superhero sequel and Samuel L. Jackson has just gone on the record to apparently confirm her presence.
With regards to the Avengers follow-up, Jackson had this to say: “I don’t think we begin shooting before March of next year. I know we’re shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms. Olsen who will play the Scarlet Witch, but I don’t know what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a script.”
Well, we sort of know that Scarlet Witch and brother Quicksilver are going to initially cause trouble for the hero line-up that includes Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America, before helping to fight off a much more serious threat from manic machine Ultron.
The Avengers: Age Of Ultron is set to hit our screens on May 1, 2015. Jackson and Olsen will both show up in Spike Lee's take on Oldboy, due to arrive here on December 6.
