Jeffrey Tambor as God? Steve Coogan as Satan? And Sam Rockwell as the man caught between them? Sounds like something we'd watch, and new, R-Rated hand-drawn animation The Adventures Of Drunky promises that we'll be able to.

Rockwell stars as the titular barfly who unwittingly becomes caught up in a celestial bet between the Devil and God about love and humanity, and ends up on a mission through heaven and hell to rescue the woman he adores (Nina Arianda).

The likes of Abby Elliot, John Leguizamo, Jon Glaser, SNL's Jay Pharaoh and Master Of None's Noel Wells are all headed into a voice booth to add their tonsil talents to this one, which Aaron Augenblick is directing from a concept he devised and a script he wrote with Aaron Bergeron. Lisa Thomas and Kris Wollinger of Augenblick Studios are the producers along with James Belfer and Daniel Shepard of Cartuna, while Peter Lengyel and Adam Belfer are executive producers.

Rockwell most recently worked on Don Verdean and has several films awaiting the greenlight. Tambor can be found playing Maura Pfefferman in Amazon's Transparent and is part of the cast for _The Accountan_t, which lands on November 4. Coogan, meanwhile, will be heard among the voice array for CG 'toon The Secret Life Of Pets, out here on June 24.
