Though the studio's last attempt to turn bad weather into box office success with Into The Storm was modestly successful, but Warner Bros. will be hoping for bigger things from a new Sam Raimi project, formerly known as Stormfall.

Raimi is developing the new film, which reportedly finds a heist being planned in the States while a tornado is raging. The characters include our hero and his older mentor. If he does direct, this could be a throwback to the likes of Raimi's A Simple Plan, albeit a little windier.

Right now, the project has Warners' backing and Raimi is looking for a writer to bring it to life. Even if he doesn't actually sit in the director's chair, he'll be a producer on the movie.

Raimi most recently kicked off the Evil Dead TV spin-off, Ash Vs. Evil Dead, and is producing plenty of movies, including Don't Breathe, which will be out here on September 9.
