Transformers: Age Of Extinction’s Jack Reynor isn’t the only actor from 2012’s What Richard Did getting noticed by Hollywood. After paying his dues in shows such as Misfits and Raw, Sam Keeley has been snapped up for several bigger film roles. The latest finds him preparing to act alongside Bradley Cooper in culinary drama **Chef.
The film, which may well end up with a new name before reaching the screen after Jon Favreau’s more light-hearted fare soundly beat it to release, finds Cooper as Paris chef Adam Jones, a man at the top of his game who manages to sink his career with his party habits. After hitting rock bottom, he attempts to redeem himself by leading a lesser restaurant to Michelin star status.
Keeley is set to play David, who Adam recruits to work in the kitchen, and who ends up becoming more helpful to him when the chef needs to crash at his pad. Sienna Miller and Omar Sy are both attached to the film, which John Wells is getting ready to shoot.
As for Keeley, he’ll be seen in Monsters: Dark Continent (out September 26) and Ron Howard’s In The Heart Of The Sea, which should dock here next year.
