Rumours abound that the tragic death of singer and actress Aaliyah may inadvertently give a new lease of life to Interview With The Vampire sequel Queen of The Damned. According to Ananova the vampire sequel was slated for a straight-to-video release after accusations that the film was 'unwatchable'. Apparently the demise of the film's star has rescued it from the bottom shelf and will see it back on course for a theatrical release. Fan sites are keen to refute this however and The Queen of The Damned Movie Cast Site has a source claiming that Warner Bros has always been behind the film. The current concern, apparently, is rather to avoid the impression of cashing in on the current publicity.
