The Man With The Iron Fists director RZA has certainly caught the filmmaking bug. Earlier this month, it was announced that _he’s working on an adaptation of Grant Morrison’s comic **Happy!_But now there’s word that he has not one, but two other projects in the works, with one of them planned as his next stint behind the camera.
That would be No Man’s land, written by Trey Ellis and David Klass. The movie’s plot finds a man stealing a rare diamond from a powerful criminal. As he tries to stay alive and sell the expensive gem, he seeks the help of a dancer.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film has echoes of** The Warriors**, mostly because of its all-in-one-night plot.
After that, it appears that Rza will head back to** Iron Fists**’ shooting ground of China for a biopic of Genghis Khan that has been a long-developing passion project for writer/director John Milius.
Originally, Milius wanted to direct the film himself with Mickey Rourke once considered to star, but nothing came of it. Now RZA will handle the film of the man who united the Mongol tribes and conquered huge swathes of Asia and Europe. The film will be told from the point of view of his children.
As for The Man With The Iron Fists, that arrives here on December 7. You can learn a little more about that here.
