While there's not yet any sign of the extended Man With The Iron Fists franchise that he hoped to ignite last year, the RZA at least looks set to continue busting shots, throwing blocks, swinging swords and throwing hands in other people's movies. We recently saw him as a blind ninja sensei in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and he's now heading for** Brick Mansions** to cause trouble for Paul Walker{ =nofollow}.

This being the US remake of District 13, it's about a cop on the trail of a stolen weapon of mass destruction, which leads him into the titular gang-run ghetto. Walker is our lawman, while RZA will be holding up the gangsta end of the deal as the bomb-hoarding warlord. Given the free-running focus of the enterprise, parkour founder David Belle is also reprising his role from the French film and its sequel: the agile rebel who knows the mansions better than anyone.

Luc Besson is also still the overlord of the franchise, and Brick Mansions is a collaboration between his Europacorp and Relativity Media. First time director Camille Delamarre has earned the gig working his way up the Europacorp ranks: he was editor on the likes of Colombiana, Lockout and Taken 2, and shot second unit on some episodes of the Transporter TV series.

The film is currently shooting in Montreal. After that, RZA will move on to the Fox TV series Gang Related, and we'll next see Paul Walker in Fast & Furious 6, which opens in the UK on Friday.
