To get Ryan Reynolds for your film is one thing. To also grab John Krasinski is a prospect that would have most studios salivating. And so Paramount must be at full mouth-drench (sorry for putting that image in your head) with word that it is picking up a new fantasy comedy called Imaginary Friends with the actors attached.

In what sounds like a blend of Drop Dead Fred and Doctor Dolittle, the film will follow a man who can see and talk to people’s imaginary friends, befriending those that have been forgotten or discarded. However, some imaginary friends, lacking love and friendship, turn to the dark side, and it’s up to Reynolds’ character to save the world from those that become evil.

Krasinski would write, direct, produce and star, while lazy old Reynolds would simply co-star (though we predict he'll have some writing input) in the film, though it's early days so there's naturally no release date yet.

Reynolds has 6 Underground due on Netflix on 13 December, and then stars in Free Guy, out next July. Krasinski is currently in post-production on the A Quiet Place sequel, headed our way in March.
