It would appear that the Oscars ceremony is ready to channel some real Kenergy. After much speculation on the matter, Variety has heard from sources that Ryan Gosling will perform the Academy Award-nominated song "I'm Just Ken" from Barbie on stage during the 96th awards next month.

Though the Academy has yet to officially confirm that Gosling will be espousing blonde fragility at the ceremony, you can well imagine what a boost it would be for the actor, who is Oscar nominated himself for the Ken role, to belt out the song.

Gosling himself wasn't sure it would happen, telling the trade mag back in February, "It might be too much of a risk to have me do it. I don’t know how that would work. But I’m open to it."

In related news, we've now learned about some of the people who will be presenting awards on the night, as last year's acting winners Michelle Yeoh, Brendan Fraser, Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan are all confirmed (as is traditional), alongside Jessica Lange, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o, Al Pacino, Sam Rockwell, Michelle Pfeiffer and Zendaya. The Academy Awards this year will be held on 10 March, and UK viewers will be able to watch them on ITV1 and ITVX.
