Keri Russell – who has just finished helping Tom Cruise spy hard in Mission: Impossible III – will star with Match Point’s Jonathan Rhys Meyers in August Rush.
Kirsten Sheridan is directing the drama, which centres on August Rush, a young musical prodigy who is trying to find his parents. Meanwhile, he makes money by performing on the streets of New York. Russell and Rhys Meyers have signed to play the parents.
Freddie Highmore, last seen as Charlie in Tim Burton’s Chocolate Factory is starring as Rush.
Shooting is set for the summer in New York.
