Ruben Fleischer burst on to the scene last year with Zombieland, so naturally once it became a hit he was flooded with offers. And it looks like he might have found what he wants to do next (besides developing the zom-com sequel, of course): another comedy, this one called 30 Minutes Or Less.
According to the LA Times, Fleischer is close to a deal for the film, which will be based on Matthew Sullivan and Michael Diliber’s Black List script. Details are scarce (the writers are apparently trying to keep as much info under wraps), but the basic premise sees a pizza deliveryman caught up in an unusual caper.
The movie is being developed as a star vehicle for Danny McBride, which could lead to a Fleischer/McBride collaboration that sounds like something we’d watch.
Oh, and among the many projects, the director had discussions about while riding high on Zombieland’s success? Mission: Impossible IV. Sounds like he passed…
