Following the success of** Bad Neighbours**, and her frequently very funny performance in it, the producers are looking to stay in the Rose Byrne Business. Seth Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures and Good Universe are trying to convince her to star in their next film, **The Something{
Few details are available about the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter, though we do know it’s set in space. Rodney Rothman, who has written films such as Get Him To The Greek, Grudge Match and this week's 22 Jump Stree****t, is stepping up to direct this one, and told Collider about its tone a few years ago. It’s apparently a horror comedy “about four guys in space who have been there for five years and hate each other and it kind of becomes Alien. And they basically end up boarding a ship that has women on it. It’s the first time they’ve seen women in five years. And then shit just goes crazy.” So we at least know how Byrne will fit into the film.
As for who might star alongside her, that’s anyone’s guess, though we’d expect to see veterans from movies like Greek and Superbad to crop up. Byrne, meanwhile, is part of the cast for This Is Where I Leave You, due out on September 12; Annie, which will arrive on December 26 and Melissa McCarthy’s new comedy, Spy, due May 22 next year.
