Filming is now underway on the latest Nick Hornby adaptation, A Long Way Down. And though director Pascal Chaumeil is busy overseeing the shoot, he’s found time to add two new names to the acting roster, with Rosamund Pike and Sam Neill signing up.

They’re joining the already-cast Aaron Paul, Toni Collette, Imogen Poots and Pierce Brosnan (all of whom you can see in the first official still from the movie, above).

Adapted by Jack Thorne, Down’s plot focuses on four strangers who meet at the top of a London skyscraper one New Year’s Eve, all planning to throw themselves off. There’s the troubled TV personality (Brosnan), the stressed single mother (Collette), the conflicted teenager (Poots) and the failed musician-turned-delivery driver (Paul). They end up making a pact to stay alive at least until Valentine’s Day and the bond begins to change their lives.

There’s no word yet on who Pike and Neill are playing. Pike will next be seen in Jack Reacher, and is also at work on The World’s End for Edgar Wright. When he’s not been busy selling wine, Neill has most recently shot The Tomb with Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
