Now that The Dark Tower** is no longer on his slate at Universal, Ron Howard is lining up alternative work in the form of 364, a superhero drama about a person who has superpowers for only one day per year. No, it's no relation then to Fernando Meirelles' LFF opener **360; and you haven't missed the three in-between.

The script's from an original pitch by David Guggenheim, the writer of Ryan Reynolds / Denzel Washington thriller Safe House and follow-ups Santiago and Puzzle Pala****ce. While further details are currently sketchy, the "drama" mention suggests that there might be sticky consequences to our hero's generally unpowered state.

There's no word yet on where this will fit on Howard's slate, but we're guessing it will take a place behind Rush, the racing drama that's already in pre-production with Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl cast.
