While he's been happily teasing a lot of obscure locations and carefully chosen angles on ships, Ron Howard has only occasionally taken to social media to pose with cast members from the Han Solo Star Wars spin-off film he's busy directing. The latest pair is a little more obscure than Paul Bettany, but they should make fans of the expanded universe comics happy.

Yes, that's Tag and Bink, characters created by Kevin Rubio for the Star Wars comics published by Dark Horse. The pair acts as a sort of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern of the galaxy far, far away, commenting on events and occasionally, accidentally influencing them.

On screen, they'll be played by the film's co-writer Jon Kasdan and first assistant director Toby Hefferman, seen in the picture with Howard. "I’m a huge fan and I had to get ’em in there, and then had to play it myself (with Toby Hefferman) to do it justice," Kasdan said in a Tweet to Rubio after the writer learned of the news.

While Tag and Bink will be cameos, the cast for the still-untitled Solo movie is led by the likes of Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. It'll be out on 25 May next year.
