With the success of shows such as Homeland and, to a lesser degree, In Treatment, the quantity of TV shows from Israel racing through the Hollywood remake factory is hitting flood proportions. Even JJ Abrams is getting in on the act, developing an adaptation of Kol Ma She’Yesh Li (AKA All I’ve Go****t) with Ron Howard now attached to direct.

It’s certainly a powerhouse combo of producer and director, and it makes you wonder just what concept could attract them both. Well, that would be a 2003 TV Movie written and directed by Margalit Keren, who also contributed episodes of Be’Tipul, the show that was turned into In Treatment for US audiences.

All I’ve Got is a metaphysical romance fantasy thriller that follows a young couple in love who get into a freak car accident. The man is killed, and the woman moves on with her life, marrying someone else and having three kids. Then, when she dies 50 years later, she’s offered a choice: forget her life after the accident and snatch the chance of being young againwith her first love, or stay in the afterlife and await her second husband’s death.

Right now, it’s still in the early stages of life at Bad Robot, and there’s no writer announced yet. We also don’t know if Abrams and Howard plan to change the plot, but if they do, you can bet Abrams will want to keep it quiet...
