Maverick french film director Roger Vadim has died at the age of 72. Vadim, who was as well known for his affairs with beautiful women as his work, lost his battle with cancer last Friday, February 11. Roger made a controversial debut as a director in 1956 with the groundbreaking And God Created Women. The movie launched the career of Brigitte Bardot, his beautiful teenage wife, who starred as the young woman who lived only for pleasure. Despite being banned in several countries and denounced by the Vatican, the movie was a worldwide hit with cinemagoers who enjoyed its challenges to accepted morals and its unabashed unveiling of Bardot
