Our old chum Drew McWeeny over at Hitfix is reporting that Seth Rogen has attached himself to a new comedy called Mother’s Curse, in which he would star alongside… and this is a good one… Barbra Streisand.
Apart from that, little is known about the movie, save for a brief confirmation from Rogen that it was, "one of the many projects I may or may not do in the next fifteen years.” But we’re guessing – and stop us if this is too much of a stretch – that Streisand would play Rogen’s mother, that embarrassment wouldn’t be far away, and hilarity would be close behind.
If Streisand commits, it will be her first film since 2004’s Meet The Fockers, although she’s expected to appear in** Little Fockers**.
McWeeny is also confident that, should the movie go ahead, it would be a DreamWorks/Paramount co-production, as new Paramount chief Adam Goodman has been a champion of the project since its inception.
