He’ll be back in body lotion and piercings as god-emperor Xerxes in 300: Rise Of An Empire, but we can expect Rodrigo Santoro to look more like himself when he appears in con man pic **Focus{ =nofollow}.

Will Smith is starring in the film, which finds a con artist getting romantically involved with a novice grifter (The** Wolf Of Wall Street**’s Margot Robbie), only for the partnership to sour. Flash-forward in time, and our hero is setting up an elaborate heist in Buenos Aires when the owner of an international racing team (Santoro) hires him to help gain an edge over the competition. But when Robbie shows up again, both men compete for her affections and the love triangle’s sharp edges start to cut…

Crazy, Stupid, Love directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa wrote the script and are planning to start cranking the cameras this October in New Orleans and Buenos Aires.

Santoro, as mentioned, will return to power in 300: Rise Of An Empire, which marches into our cinemas on March 7 next year. He’s at work on portmanteau drama Rio, eu te amo (acting in Carlos Saldanha’s segment) and will also lend his voice to Blue Sky’s 'toon sequel** Rio 2**, which, perhaps not-so-coincidentally is also directed by Saldanha. And if that’s not enough, he recently wrapped Jane Got A Gun.
