Despite having his name attached to a number of developing movies at the moment, Dwayne Johnson has found room on his heavy To Do list for one more. Annie director Will Gluck is working up a new, untitled action comedy for the man also known as The Rock to star in.

Not much has been released about the film in terms of plot specifics, though Deadline has learned that Dave Callaham’s script will attempt to strike a buddy action comedy tone reminiscent of 48 Hours and Midnight Run. Though it also sounds a little like Central Intelligence, which his Rockness already has on the way with Kevin Hart as his co-star.

New Line is obviously hoping for big things (including the f word – “franchise”) with this one, which reunites Johnson with San Andreas producer Beau Flynn, who is also working with him on Rampage and Baywatch.

Johnson will also be heard in Disney’s Moana, due later next year and is developing a movie based on the company’s Jungle Cruise ride.
