He might not be the official owner of Freddy Krueger’s stripy jumper and knifed glove on screen any more, but Robert Englund is still picking demonic parts, signing on to indie horror pic Inkubus.

He’s part of an ensemble that includes William Forsythe, Joey Fatone, Mike Cerrone and Michelle Ray Smith.

Glenn Ciano is directing the film, which finds a small crew of officers manning the final shift at a soon-to-be-torn-down police station. But their last night in the place takes a turn for the hellish when Inkubus the demon walks in carrying a severed head, and starts to confess his many crimes, with a list of awful deeds dating back centuries.

The cast are already hard at work in Rhode Island, though there’s no word on when the final product will hit cinemas.
