Having spent a big chunk of the last decade bantering with different levels of artificial intelligence as Tony Stark, it makes sense that Robert Downey Jr. might be the man to tackle the subject for a new docuseries. He's sold an untitled show about that very topic to YouTube's Red channel.

Downey Jr. is on to host and narrate the series, which will rely for its actual knowledgeable content on researchers and experts on science, philosophy, engineering, medicine, futurism and entertainment, with the various contributors sharing their perspectives on how AI is and will further transform how we live and work.

"Robert and I share a curiosity for AI, a complicated and often polarizing subject. Our aim is to explore AI through a lens of objectivity and accessibility, in a thoroughly bold, splashy, and entertaining way," says producing partner Susan Downey in a statement carried by Deadline. "We’re thrilled to bring this project to life along with Network Entertainment, Sonar, and YouTube Red." The show should be online next year.

Of course, now we're wondering whether it'll also explore the downsides to the growing use of AI in the world. Or is this Team Downey simply cozying up to the robots in case of a techno-revolution. TELL US THE TRUTH, STARK!
