Getting John Malkovich for only your second film as director is an achievement, but nabbing both Malkovich and Robert De Niro is a whole other thing. Though given that Randall Emmett has worked with them both as a producer in the past, perhaps it's not so shocking.
De Niro, Malkovich and Colson "Machine Gun Kelly" Baker are all on to star in Wash Me In The River, Emmett's new thriller. Adam Taylor Barker's script focuses on a recovering opioid addict who seeks revenge on the dealers responsible for selling the drugs that resulted in his fiancee’s death. Two cops are hot on his trail.
Emmett is already shooting his first film, Midnight In The Switchgrass, which got shut down in March when the pandemic hit. He'll move on to River in November, aiming to shoot in Georgia and Puerto Rico.
