Even with work left to finish on his current film, period drama The Last Duel, Ridley Scott is already turning one eye to a future project, known as Gucci. And he's certainly not slacking when it comes to casting. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Jack Huston and Reeve Carney are all in talks to join the drama.

Scott already has Lady Gaga on board to star as Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci (grandson of fashion dynasty founder Guccio Gucci), who was tried and convicted of orchestrating his assassination on the steps of his office in 1995. She served 18 years in jail before her release in 2016. Maurizio had two daughters with Reggiani, but he left her for another woman. She’d had a brain tumor removed, and her children blamed it for her actions; the media took a darker view of her during a sensationalized affair, depicting her as a hot-blooded woman scorned and dubbing her "Black Widow."

Roberto Bentivegna wrote the script based on Sara Gay Forden’s book The House Of Gucci: A Sensational Story Of Murder, Madness, Glamour And Greed. Scott is looking to kick off shooting on this one once The Last Duel is complete, with the cameras cranking back on that film this week.
