Rob Schneider’s not a man you’d expect to be turning up in a kiddie fantasy film, but he’s been lured into the genre by Juliana And The Medicine Fish.
The indie drama will be directed by Jeremy Torrie, and sees Schneider as a father trying to save a troubled fishing lodge even as his relationship with his 12-year-old daughter breaks down. But wait! We predict happier times will be on the way when the girl discovers an ancient secret in the nearby water. We don’t want to give too much away here, but it’s likely to be something to do with a medicinal-type piscine.
Torrie adapted the script from Jake McDonald’s book with the help of the author himself. Schneider, meanwhile, will be using the role to relax after directing his own first film – prison comedy Big Stan.
