This Is Spinal Tap director Rob Reiner, is to direct an action-adventure called Book of Shadows which has been picked up for development by Castle Rock.
It will follow the trials and tribulations of a young man on his quest to close a mythical tome (the Book of Shadows) in order to restore balance to the world.
There is a real Neopagan text called the Book of Shadows, which is a collection of Wiccan magical and religious texts. It contains the core rituals, magical practices, ethics and philosophy of Wicca and a fictional version of the book popped up in Charmed. But whether Reiner will cast Rose McGowan or the girls in his tale of the tome looks unlikely.
Reiner will also produce, alongside Alan Greisman (The Bucket List) and Ron Casdan.
