1999 saw Kevin Bacon haunted by ghostly voices and visions, driven to dig up the foundations of his house to solve a supernatural mystery in Stir Of Echoes.
Now, in 2006, Lionsgate clearly thinks that the film did well enough to justify a sequel. And they’ve hired Rob Lowe, last seen as a sleazy movie producer in Thank You For Smoking (and making a brief cameo on the finale of The West Wing) to play a battle-traumatised Iraq War veteran who has his own spooky sights.
Stir Of Echoes: The Dead Speak will be written and directed by Ernie Barbaresh, helmer of Cube Zero. And he’s planning to start shooting the movie in Toronto in July.
