As Cars 3 looks to win people who didn't like the second film back into the fold (no easy task for this particular franchise), the trailers are coming thick and fast. This latest one leans a little too heavily on the plot and appears to be a rough look at almost the whole film, so skip it if you're looking to go in without knowing too much.
For this one, Owen Wilson's Lightning McQueen is starting to realise that he's no longer the speedy newcomer. As he ages, younger, faster challengers such as Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer) is overtaking him. And after a nasty crash, Lightning realises he has to reevaluate his life and career.
But, unwilling to give up the world of racing, he turns to the likes of Sterling (Nathan Fillion), a smart business type who runs a high-tech training facility for vehicles. There, he meets Christela Alonzo's unconventional trainer Cruz Ramirez and starts to learn that if he can't go faster, maybe he can outsmart the hotshot.
Brian Fee took is in the director's chair for the film, which drives into US cinemas on 16 June and then travels to the UK on 14 July.
