The cameras are rolling and the punches/laugh barbs are already being traded, but action-comedy sequel The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard isn't finished adding to its cast. Signing up for the craziness are Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant (back as Seifert from the first film) and Antonio Banderas.

Patrick Hughes is once again directing, reuniting Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek for the follow-up to 2017's The Hitman's Bodyguard. Reynolds plays protection specialist Michael Bryce, here pulled into another mad mission with assassin Darius Kincaid (Jackson) and his equally lethal wife Sonia (Hayek). The trio is this time on the side of the good guys as they battle to save Europe from a vengeful and powerful zealot with a dangerously over-developed sense of national pride.

While we know who Grant will play, Banderas' role hasn't been announced. They join recent additions Frank Grillo and Morgan Freeman, and it's mostly being shot on the Amalfi coast. Must be nice...

Banderas has The New Mutants still in release limbo (it remains listed for a 2 August slot here, but we'll see if that sticks) and is in Steven Soderbergh's The Laundromat. Grant will appear in Star Wars: Episode IX (out 19 December) and comedy-drama Palm Beach.
