Roger Spottiswoode has found the man to lead both his movie and a group of orphans to safety.

Jonathan Rhys Myers has been cast in the previously announced The Children Of Huang Shi, which already features Michelle Yeoh, Chow Yun Fat and Radha Mitchell.

The story finds a young Englishman (Rhys Meyers) in war-torn 1930’s China helping 60 orphans to safety across the Liu Pan Shan Mountains.

Spottiswoode’s cameras start cranking on 13 November in China’s Gansu province.
