Sony is pushing the Resident Evil: Afterlife** publicity machine into second gear with a new poster (which you can check out below) and some new pics over at UGO.
The poster features – no surprise here – Milla Jovovich holding guns in the rain, which seems to be the big image for this fourth outing of the video game adaptation.
How eagerly you’re awaiting this one most likely depends on your appreciation for the rest of the franchise, though fans will note that Paul WS Anderson is back behind the camera (as well as his regular writing duties) and Jovovich is promising plenty of action again.
It’s also a chance for Ali Larter’s Claire Redfield to get a little family time, since Prison Break’s Wentworth Miller is appearing for the first time as her brother Chris, one of the more iconic characters from the games.
Afterlife follows Alice (Jovovich) as she continues her quest to track down any remaining fully human survivors of the undead plague, even as the nefarious Umbrella Corporation led by Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) plots against her.
And this one has been shot in 3D, since that appears to be a big new obsession for the director, who plans to make The Three Musketeers in the third dimension as his next project.
