We're now just a month away from the return of Lorelei (Lauren Graham), Rory (Alexis Bledel), Emily (Kelly Bishop) and the rest of the residents of Stars Hollow, as Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life sees the chatty characters back via a new Netflix revival. Check out the latest trailer below.
A Year In The Life also sees the return of creators and show-runners Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, who controversially left the show before its seventh season. The revival gives them the chance to get back to their fast-paced ways and to either provide closure for the characters or leave the door ajar for more specials in future.
The Netflix version, which comprises four 90-minute TV movies, finds the titular characters feeling a little adrift. Lorelei isn't sure she knows what she wants from life any more, despite seeming to have found happiness with gruff cafe owner Luke (Scott Patterson), while Rory is travelling the world without much of an idea of a final destination. As for Emily, she's dealing with being a widow after 50 years of marriage. And around them, there is the usual assortment of friends, lovers, oddballs and troublemakers.
From the looks of this, A Year In The Life represents the show back on full power, even if it is a narrative spread across specials. It'll arrive in the middle of Thanksgiving weekend for Stateside folks, or as we in the UK will know it, 25 November as ideal comfort food. Get your takeaway orders in now.
