Bruce Willis and Forest Whitaker arrived early as support, but the girls are showing up fashionably late. Nikki Reed and Deborah Ann Woll have just signed on for the indie assassin drama **Catch .44. Nothing to do with Joseph Heller. Something to do with gun calibre.

Woll is currently best known as True Blood's noob vampire Jessica Hamby, who showed up towards the end of the first season and had a large part to play in season two.

Reed, meanwhile, is over in the Twilight camp (she has some major stuff in Eclipse) as Cullen clan member Rosalie Hale. She also co-wrote Thirteen with original Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke. We'd imagine both actresses are looking forward to taking a break from their respective bloodsucking franchises and kicking some ass instead. A change is as good as a rest, after all.

The Charlie's Angels-ish pitch involves "three gorgeous female assassins sent on a job that might be their last". Malin Akerman (Watchmen's Silk Spectre mk. 2) is certainly one of them, but it's not yet clear whether Reed and Woll are the other two, or whether they're below the already-cast Lizzy Kaplan and Kate Mara on the call-sheet. What's certain is that Aaron Harvey is the writer/director, Willis is the anti-Angels' Charlie, and Whitaker is a hit-man. Shooting starts later this month.
