He might be busy helping to organise and run his Sundance Festival, but Robert Redford clearly has no intention of giving up filmmaking himself.
He has announced three new projects on his slate. One will be a basketball story about Jackie Robinson, Branch Rickey and the smashing of colour prejudice in baseball.
Also on Redford’s mind is an adaptation of two books: Bill Bryson’s rambling travelogue A Walk In The Woods. Both of those films will see Redford as an actor and producer. And he’ll be pulling double duty – acting and directing on The Company You Keep, adapted from Neil Gordon’s book about radicals who went underground and changed their identities in the late ‘60s/early ‘70s.
