Today is a US TV show that has famous folk talking things they are doing in their famous lives. Pitch Perfect** veteran Rebel Wilson was on there recently, and during her interview, she happened to mention that she had met with Sony, her Bridesmaids **director Paul Feig and the rest of the **Ghostbusters 3 **team about the possibility of strapping on a proton pack.
“I have had a meeting,” Wilson said. “But who knows? They will have to look at the script when it’s finished... I’d do that for free. I probably shouldn’t say that live on TV.”
Feig, the director of the women-only spectre-trapping reboot, has previously said that his dream cast would include Melissa McCarthy (another Bridesmaids veteran), Kristen Wiig (another Bridesmaids veteran), Linda Cardellini (perhaps still best known for her work on another Feig project, Freaks And Geeks) and Emma Stone (The Help, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, not Bridesmaids).
Co-writing the script with his **The Heat **scribe Katie Dippold, Feig is aiming to make the movie at some point next year, though he has a lot on his plate right now as he polishes off Spy, another McCarthy project he's currently working on, due out in the UK on June 5.
