Rebecca Hall, most recently seen in Dorian Gray and Frost/Nixon, has signed on to star opposite Will Ferrell in the indie drama Everything Must Go.

Based on Raymond Carver’s short story – with Dan Rush adapting and directing – Everything follows the misadventures of a alcoholic (Ferrell) who sinks back into his addiction, loses his wife and job and decides to sell off all his possessions while living on his front lawn.

Hall is playing a woman who moves to the neighbourhood and forges a special connection with him. We’d guess either a love relationship or a special friendship, because who wouldn’t want to befriend a total charmer like Ferrell’s character appears to be. Are we right, ladies? Anyone?
