Comedy Sherlock Holmes tale Holmes And Watson already has its title characters (with Will Ferrell pulling on the deerstalker and John C. Reilly getting the duo back together to play his sidekick). Now three more key character roles have been filled by Rebecca Hall, Kelly Macdonald and Rob Brydon.

Hall has made a deal to play Dr. Grace Hart, the first female doctor to practice in London and no doubt a keen intellectual foil for Holmes. Macdonald will be iconic Arthur Conan Doyle character Mrs. Hudson, the housekeeper perennially frustrated at her charges' antics. As for Brydon, he'll be the Scotland Yard's Inspector Lestrade, who often needs Holmes' help but also finds him infuriating.

They're just the latest additions to the film, which Get Hard's Etan Cohen wrote and is preparing to direct for Sony. Lauren Lapkus joined earlier this week, playing a smart woman named Millie. The cameras should be rolling soon for a 2018 release.
