She's on our screens at the moment, having returned to the Mission: Impossible franchise for the successful Fallout. And Rebecca Ferguson is continuing to notch up the high profile film jobs. She's now sealed a deal to take one of the leads in the new Men In Black.

She'll star alongside Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Rafe Spall and Kumail Nanjiani in the new spin-off, which will be set in the same universe as the movies which starred Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, but will not feature those characters (aside from potential cameos, and of the two, we could only see Smith showing up). F. Gary Gray is directing the movie right now in and around London.

Quite who Ferguson will be playing remains a mystery at this point, but we do know that the movie will be the second film she shoots in a row, as she's officially aboard Stephen King-based Shining sequel Doctor Sleep, playing a nasty villain.

The new Men In Black will arrive in US cinemas on 14 May next year, before heading to the UK on 14 June.
