The Radio Silence filmmaking collective – which includes directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, plus producer Chad Villella, broke out big with Ready Or Not. That scored them the gig making the new Scream movie, and they've now set their sights on more horror, landing Reunion at MGM.
With a script from regular collaborators Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, Reunion plays on the theme of awkwardness and estranged friends at high school reunion events. It's taken to a new extreme when a group of uninspired old friends become the only hope for survival against an unwelcome shape-shifting creature.
Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will once again direct, at least once they've put the finishing touches to Scream, which confusingly serves as the latest sequel to the 1996 original, and reunites some of the main cast. That film is set to arrive in 2022.
