Working Title Films - the company behind this year's undisputed UK success, Bridget Jones's Diary - are developing a family film based on a BAFTA-nominated short film, reports ScreenDaily.com. The Tale of the Rat That Wrote is based on a 1999 film by newcomers Billy O'Brien and his brother William. Billy will adapt the short film himself, which - like Babe - will feature a combination of live action, animation and animatronics. The film tells the story of Jenny, a rat caught in the animal laboratory owned by JP Jaddock - the Rat Catcher - who is determined to escape her surroundings.
