If you thought Gordon Ramsay was a bit intense when it comes to cooking, then get ready for the next level thanks to Ralph Fiennes' Chef Slowik in The Menu, a man who would make even Gregg Wallace clam up. Check out the teaser trailer for the comedy thriller, which also stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult.
Will Tracy and Seth Reiss wrote the script, which focuses on young couple Margot (Taylor-Joy) and Tyler (Hoult) who visit an exclusive destination restaurant on a remote island where the acclaimed chef (Fiennes) has prepared a lavish tasting menu, along with some shocking surprises. From the looks of the teaser, some of the guests might end up regretting their time at the restaurant...
Though Alexander Payne was originally down to direct this when it was first announced back in 2019, it was actually tackled by Mark Mylod, who has been one of the main directors on Succession, and the film perhaps not-so-coincidentally boasts Adam McKay as one of its producers.
With Janet McTeer, Hong Chau, Judith Light and John Leguizamo also in the cast, The Menu will be served up in cinemas on 18 November.
