While Antoine Fuqua has largely been recruiting Secret Service personnel (and the President) for White House home invasion thriller Olympus Has Fallen, he’s now locked in some family for Gerard Butler’s leading man, hiring Radha Mitchell to play his wife, Leah.

Fuqua starts cranking the cameras next week in Louisiana, and finds terrorists taking over the world’s most famous house and capturing the Prez (Aaron Eckhart) and members of his administration. It’s up to former Secret Service agent Butler to work on a rescue plan.

Angela Bassett and Dylan McDermott are also aboard as members of the Service, with Keong Sim playing a minister. The script’s by Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt and while it doesn’t have a set release date yet, we expect it to arrive at some point next year.

It’ll be in competition with Roland Emmerich’s effort, White House Down, which will likely kick off shooting shortly and has Channing Tatum and Maggie Gyllenhaal confirmed so far.

As for Mitchell, she’s the lead in new US TV drama Red Widow, based on a Dutch series about a women dragged back into her family’s criminal past. Mitchell will start working on that once her time in Olympus is finished.
