Krysten Ritter has found another BFF to worry about her baby in, conveniently, a film called BFF and Baby, as Rachel Bilson has joined the cast of the indie comedy.

Ritter wrote the script with director Kat Coiro, and the story finds three best friends who try to cling to the vestige of their normal lives when one of them has a baby.

Kate Bosworth is already on board to play the third of the friendly triumvirate, and we’re hoping it’s not just a parade of nappy gags. Ritter’s presence in both the film and behind the keyboard gives us some hope on that matter.

And while Bilson will kick off work on the film later next month in LA, she’ll also be preparing for another job, one that will see her both returning to TV and re-teaming with the man who made a telly star on The OC, Josh Schwartz.

The writer/producer, who currently oversees Chuck and Gossip Girl, has just struck a deal with US network NBC for a new show, romantic comedy drama Ghost Angeles.

NBC has ordered a pilot of the show, which, while most of the details are still being kept secret, apparently will see Bilson’s character as a young LA woman who can talk to the dead. Yes, it sounds a little bit like Medium crossed with The OC, since she’ll be both helping the spirits as much as they assist her with her life… We're not sure we're sold just yet, but like Spaceballs' Yogurt, we trust in the Schwartz.
