We've already referenced A Quiet Place in today's news burst while talking about the trailer for The Silence. It's back on our minds as the sequel is creeping towards the production phase and has now added Cillian Murphy to the cast.

With John Krasinski at work on the script and preparing to direct again this summer, A Quiet Place will see Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe back as the family battling to survive in a world where creatures with incredible hearing and deadly skills stalk humans who make noise.

Most of the plot details for the new movie are under wraps, but The Hollywood Reporter has heard that Murphy will play a man with mysterious intentions who joins the family unit.

A Quiet Place 2 (or whatever it ends up named) is scheduled to land on 15 May next year. Murphy will be back for the next series of Peaky Blinders and has a role in Luc Besson's new action thriller Anna.
