It's ten months off yet, with 3D tinkering still going on, and after Legion you may not quite be shivering with antici... pation. But Entertainment Tonight have just aired a short piece from the last day of filming on the Paul Bettany / Scott Stewart reunion Priest. Have a look and see what you think.
It's basically a puff piece, so there's not much to go on. Cam Gigandet and Stephen Moyer from, respectively, Twilight and True Blood are on hand to play up the vampire angle and assure us that these will be bloodsuckers the like of which we've never seen before. Hmm, we'll be the judge of that. Bettany looks cool though, and seems genuinely to have been having a blast, mentioning the wire-fighting in particular as something he could do all day. Fingers crossed that the audience enjoy this one as much as the cast.
Priest, a horror Western, sees Bettany as the alliteratively named Ivan Issacs, teaming up with Sheriff Gigandet and priestess Maggie Q to rescue his niece from the digitally rendered hordes of the undead. Karl Urban, Christopher Plummer, Brad Dourif and Madchen Amick co-star, and the release date is currently January 14.
