Mike Nichols must be a really nice guy. Seriously, either that or he gives out free chocolate cake. Why else would Julia Roberts, who only finished making a film with him a few months ago, be signing up for round two? Yes, now that Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's Twelve is in the bag, Roberts is in negotiations along with Nichols to join Seven-Year Switch, a romantic comedy about being bored with hanging around the same person all the time. Our Jules will play a woman coming up on that tricky period in a relationship when the grass starts to look suspiciously more verdant elsewhere. However, rather than running off to bed someone dapper and dashing like Olivier Martinez, Roberts is treated to a little Hollywood hocus pocus by the powers that be and is granted a glimpse of an alternate life that would have come to pass if everything had been a little different. It's all a bit Capra-esque but if anyone can breathe a bit of life into a rather uninspiring romcom it's Roberts. Well, we're assuming it's uninspiring, for all we know the alternate life could see her recruited into the SAS or enjoying life as a blind, ferret juggler
